Forward or Back?
The view from Catbells fell in the Lake District is often best admired facing both ways; the mining heritage in the Lake District means its fells are often pierced by mine shafts, and Catbells is no exception, with several Victorian relics on its slopes.
I'd never painted a diptych before, but really enjoyed getting to work out the subject more thoroughly than usual; the frame was a challenge too, getting the bevels right and then painting it to suit.
